DESCRIPTION
MEET CHAI!
Chai is a 3-year-old, 53-lb Catahoula mix who is as sweet and affectionate as they come. This handsome boy truly loves being close to his people and feels happiest when he can see what his humans are up to.
Chai prefers not to be left alone and does best when his crate is set up in a room where he can feel included—he just wants to be part of the family.
He’s a smart, eager-to-please pup who already knows sit, down, and even an adorable “play dead” trick! He’ll also spin in a circle on a hand signal and enjoys showing off his skills, especially when food is involved.
Chai appears to be house trained and gets along well with other dogs of all sizes. He’s playful and would love a dog buddy who actually wants to romp and play with him.
He likes kids and has not yet been tested with cats.
On leash, Chai can be a bit of a puller, but with consistency and positive reinforcement (especially treats!), he should improve quickly.
If you’re looking for a loyal, people-loving companion with brains, personality, and a big heart, Chai is your guy.

ABOUT: CATAHOULA LEOPARD DOG DOG BREED
The Catahoula Leopard Dog, a unique and versatile breed originally from Louisiana, is known for its striking coat patterns resembling a leopard. These dogs are esteemed for their intelligence, loyalty, and exceptional working abilities. With a strong instinct for herding and tracking, they excel in diverse roles such as hunting, herding, and search and rescue. Renowned for their protective nature and affection towards their families, Catahoula Leopard Dogs make devoted companions for owners committed to providing them with proper training and stimulation.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
