Meet Pistol Pete!

Pistol Pete is a handsome 7-month-old "Doodlehound" with the best of both worlds—a Goldendoodle mom and a Black & Tan Coonhound dad! This happy, goofy boy has a personality that's just as big as his floppy ears.

Pete's story didn't start the way it should have. He was found abandoned at our city dog park during the middle of a summer heat wave. Thankfully, he found his way to us, and now he's safe, loved, neutered, and up to date on all of his vaccinations.

This young guy is full of energy and will thrive with an active family who can give him plenty of exercise, adventures, and attention. As expected from his hound side, Pistol Pete loves to "talk" and will happily tell you all about his day! He is incredibly affectionate, enjoys being around people, and is always ready for some love.

Pistol Pete is potty trained and is currently eating from a slow feeder while we help him safely gain back the weight he lost before coming to the shelter. He's making great progress and is ready to find a family that will never leave him behind again.
