Lucy is a 65-70# Goldendoodle. She will be two years of age in November: 11.13.2024. Lucy's family is unable to provide the time and attention that this girl needs. With two small children and a full working schedule, Lucy's quality time has diminished. The family has made the heart-wrenching decision that it is best to find her a family that has the time to dote on her, to provide her with all of the basic needs and the luxury wants.

Lucy loves the outdoors. She gets along with all dogs, small and large. She has not been cat-tested.


Lucy is up to date on vaccinations and we will get her spayed prior to her adoption. She will also be microchipped.


Lucy bonds very well to her human. She is currently living with small children and does very well around them. If they are high energy, she will try to match that. We are looking for a family that can give her the activity that this young girl desires and deserves and would like to see Lucy in a home where she has access to a family member throughout the day. Lucy is house-trained, however, new environments and stress can result in accidents. Attentiveness and patience is a requirement. Lucy is also crate trained, but is not crated at night.

Almost Home Foster & Rescue of MN is a 501c3, not-for-profit, foster-based, rescue organization. AHFR is located in SE Minnesota, in the Austin/Albert Lea area. AHFR is primarily a Beagle and small dog rescue.

Our focus is to pull from High-Kill Shelters and to save those dogs that are at risk of euthanasia.

All AHFR adoptions require an approved, completed application, a Veterinarian and Personal Reference Check, a smoke-free environment, and a home visit.

Our Adoption fee is $425.00 for a single dog adoption.

All our dogs are completely vetted, 4DX tested, current on vaccinations, *spayed/neutered, and microchipped.
