Bentley is a beautiful Golden Retriever looking for a loving new home due to severe allergies with new baby. Hes a loyal, affectionate boy who absolutely adores people, kids, and playing with other dogs.

Male, neutered
Over 50 lbs
Microchipped
Vaccinations, bloodwork, and flea/tick/heartworm prevention all up to date in 2025
No known medical issues or allergies

Bentley is incredibly loving and loyal. He wants to be close to his people and would happily sleep beside you, though hes also content on the bedroom floor or a cool spot in the house. He loves car rides, dog parks, running, fetching balls, and spending time with his family.
He knows several commands including:
Sit
Lie down
Paw / Other paw
Wait for food
Social Behavior
Loves people and children
Enjoys playing with other dogs
Curious about cats and may run toward them to play because of his size
Does not enjoy rough play fighting and will bark to stop it
House Manners
Fully house trained
Can stay home for 6 - 8 hours
No separation anxiety, though he may bark briefly when you leave
Will bark at strangers or the doorbell until he gets familiar with people
Things to Know
Bentley can pull on leash unless hes had exercise first. A gentle leader works perfectly for this.
If a door or gate is left open, he may take off exploring
Counter-surfs and steals food if given the opportunity
Has growled if someone accidentally stepped on his fur
Destroyed toys before, but not household items
Prefers eating from bowls placed on the ground (not elevated feeders)
Bentley did have one incident where he snapped at another dog around food, which helped the family discover his dislike of raised food dishes.
Ideal Home
Bentley would thrive with an active family who can give him exercise, attention, and lots of love. A securely fenced yard and experience with larger breeds would be a bonus.

Bentley has been deeply loved since he was a puppy, and the family is committed to finding him the right forever home.
