DESCRIPTION
Leo is a 7-year-old Golden/Lab mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality. Recently transferred into our care, Leo was part of a SafePaws program while his owner worked through some life challenges. Unfortunately, they were unable to reclaim him, but we want them to know he is safe, loved, and being well cared for.
Leo is the kind of dog who makes you smile without even trying. He has a goofy, expressive side, but he's also a gentle, affectionate guy who loves being around people.
He's done great meeting both familiar and new faces, greeting everyone with a loose, wiggly body and happily accepting treats (very politely, we might add!). He enjoys playtime (especially chasing a tennis ball) and has even shown some interest in splashing around, so a future with toys and maybe even a kiddie pool sounds like his dream life.
Leo seems to be pretty easygoing overall. He's shown relaxed behavior in the kennel, enjoys interaction, and has mostly ignored other dogs in nearby spaces.
At around 57 pounds, neutered, and heartworm negative, Leo is healthy and ready for his next chapter.
