Meet Otis! Otis is a 3-year-old Lab/Golden/Pyrenees mix with one speed setting: MAXIMUM EXCITEMENT. He’s confident, athletic, and full of personality — the kind of dog who wakes up ready to start the day with a smile and a full-body tail wag.

Otis is sweet, eager, and very teachable, but we’ll be upfront: this guy has basically zero dog social skills right now. He wants to play, but he plays hard, and he doesn’t always understand boundaries. Because of this, Otis needs a confident dog friend who can properly correct him and help teach him appropriate play manners.

Despite his rowdy energy, Otis is not aggressive — just wildly enthusiastic and still learning how to exist politely in the world.

With cats: Otis does surprisingly well! He is definitely interested and would happily play if a cat was willing… but he did not chase hard, bulldoze, or overwhelm them.

Home needs: Otis will require a fenced yard because he loves to run, bark, sing, and celebrate life at full volume. Apartment living is not the right fit for him.

Kids: Otis would do best with sturdy, dog-savvy kids since he is still working on jumping and mouthiness. He’s a big boy with big energy and needs continued training.

Ideal adopter: Otis is looking for someone active, committed, and ready to put in training time. He’s the type of dog who will absolutely thrive with structure and a job to do. He’d be an amazing candidate for agility, advanced obedience, hiking adventures, or any activity where he can focus his energy.
