DESCRIPTION
Baxter is an 8-year-old neutered male German Shorthaired Pointer weighing 70 lbs. He is house trained, his current owner gives him free roam of the home. When crated he cries and gets very upset.
He is gun shy, so will not be a hunter. He is also afraid of thunder and will hide out in the tub when a storm arrives. He currently lives with a French Bulldog and a cat, though we are not recommending cats in a new home. Baxter lives on a farm and has made his way to the neighbors and is killing the feral cats on their property.
We had a volunteer meet Baxter and he was described as very friendly and easy going, good on a leash, and loves car rides. He simply needs a confined area instead of wandering a farm.
Baxter is near Charles Town, WV and is seeking a foster or permanent spot with a new family.
