Joanie RDS is a one-year-old, 50-pound sweetheart who traveled from Mountain City, Tennessee, to find a fresh start with Eleventh Hour Rescue. While we believe she is a German Shorthaired Pointer and Pit mix, her temperament is what truly defines her—she is simply perfect and incredibly gentle with everyone she meets.

Joanie’s journey to us was a difficult one; she was heartlessly abandoned on a dead-end road by her previous family for no reason at all. When they later saw she had been rescued and tried to backtrack, the answer was a firm "no." Joanie deserves a family that truly values her loyalty, and we are committed to finding her a home that will never let her go again.

In her daily life, Joanie is a dream. She is great with other dogs and children, and she has also been cat-tested. With a slow and proper introduction, we believe she would do just fine sharing a home with feline friends. She is a humble, resilient girl who is ready to leave her past behind and move forward with a family that sees just how special she is.

Joanie is fully prepared for her new chapter. She is already spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on all of her vaccinations. While she is heartworm negative, she did test positive for Lyme disease, but she has already started her doxycycline treatment and is doing wonderfully.
