Lucy’s story could have ended before it even began.

While driving down a busy highway in Mississippi, her rescuer saw cars swerving, honking, and speeding past something in the road… and then she saw her — a terrified young dog running back and forth across traffic, seconds away from being hit. 💔

She pulled over, got out of her car… and Lucy ran straight to her.
And just like that — there was no leaving her behind.

Lucy quietly sat in the back seat, calm and trusting, despite everything she had just been through. No panic. No chaos. Just a gentle soul who knew she was finally safe.

She was taken to a local vet — no microchip, no one looking for her.
So her rescuer made sure she got everything she needed:
✔️ Treated for a severe ear infection
✔️ Spayed
✔️ Dewormed
✔️ Fully vetted and cared for

And through it all, Lucy has remained exactly who she showed herself to be that day — sweet, gentle, and incredibly special.
