Sophie is looking for a new home because her human parents were not in the best of health to begin with, and sadly declined quickly. Unfortunately her human dad passed away recently and her human mom has Parkinson's Disease and is not healthy enough to take care of her.
Sophie has lived a secluded life other than her immediate family (human parents and cat brothers), and three trainers providing her daily outings filled with exercise, enrichment and training. She may get a little excited (and she is a big girl), but she enjoys interacting with most humans, even little ones! She has lived with cats her whole life and although they are fun to chase light-heartedly, she does well with them.
Sophie loves to play with toys, frisbees, balls, and watch squirrels:) She is good at the groomers and vet clinic too.
Sophie would do best as an only dog, we have worked on her reactivity as much as we could, unfortunately because of her people's health issues, it wasn't easy to follow up, she is young and is willing to learn. She has done well with some dogs, but certain dogs, she gets overly excited and reactive. She is still young and willing to learn, are you willing to give this sweet girl a new lease on life!?
