Roxanne is really adapting well and is thoroughly enjoying life in a home with other dogs and older children. So much of this was new to her and she is blossoming with structure and playtime. She loves play time with other dogs and another canine buddy her size or larger would be best in her forever home. She is extremely people oriented so a family situation with older kids would be ideal. She benefits from lots of walks, play time with toys and off leash time in a safe environment. Her enthusiasm for life is contagious and she brings plenty of joy and laughter to her foster family. Roxanne is gradually getting over her fear of car rides, with plenty of desensitization with treats, chew toys and brief jaunts visiting fun places. Likely every car ride prior was a major move or vet visit. She is very smart, eager to learn and her bond with people is amazing. Roxanne is lovely dog and provides plenty of joy and laughter to her foster family.
Backstory:
Roxanne, along with two males, were recently surrendered to a shelter, at an estimated 8 years of age. Shelter life is often stressful for shepherds and the search for rescue was on. Thankfully, an experienced foster stepped up and made the trip to spring her from the shelter. Now in a foster home with several other dogs, cats and teenagers, Roxanne has so much to learn and is blossoming in this environment. So far we know she is great with other dogs, very petite for a shepherd, a happy and enthusiastic learner. We are still getting to know her so stay tuned for updates.
