Ember DOB: 12/2016 German Shepherd Dog Female
Meet Ember!
Ember is a beautiful senior German Shepherd who is looking for a family to spend her golden years with. Born in December 2016, Ember is nearly 10 years old and has all the wonderful qualities people love about mature dogsshe's calm, affectionate, and happy simply being near her people.
After spending most of her life with one family, Ember found herself needing a new home through circumstances beyond her control. Despite the changes in her life, she has remained incredibly sweet and trusting.
Ember is:
Potty trained
Great with children
Wonderful with other dogs
Easygoing and affectionate
A fantastic house companion
Her favorite hobbies include lounging in the air conditioning, keeping an eye on household activities from a comfortable spot near the door, and enthusiastically playing with water from the hose.
Ember recently completed her veterinary exam, bloodwork, and vaccinations and is doing well. She is currently a bit overweight at 103 pounds and would benefit from losing approximately 20 pounds, but she is otherwise ready to find her forever home.
Like many senior dogs, Ember enjoys a slower pace of life. She takes leisurely walks and would much rather spend time with her family than run marathons. She does have some strength on leash and may pull at times, so her adopter should be prepared for a large dog with a little enthusiasm left in her.
If you're looking for a loyal companion who will happily share your couch, keep your feet warm, and remind you to appreciate the simple things in life, Ember would love to meet you.
Ember is spayed, vaccinated, and ready to find her forever family.
