King - German Shepherd Dog Dog for Adoption in Rockford, Illinois

King and his brother Bruno were abandoned at a training and boarding facility we work with. Both have spent extensive time with a very reputable trainer.

King is an 8 year old GSD who is friendly and has never met a stranger. He greets a new person coming into his home with a “Hello!” And is then ready for pets. King is an older gentleman and as such is starting to show some arthritis in his hips. Outside of that, he’s as healthy as can be and happy as a clam! King is a great leash walker and doesn’t mind a lap around the block or, he’s perfectly content chilling out and relaxing.

King is not good with other pets and does require a fenced in yard. He has only ever known Bruno (separate listing) so he could be adopted with Bruno or he’d need to be an only pet. His previous owner had no children so that experience is unknown. King is neutered and up to date on vaccines as well as chipped. His adoption fee is $150.
