Meet Katy!
After Katys loving owner passed away, she ran away to look for them and found herself pregnant and dumped in an overcrowded shelter. After weaning her six beautiful pups, its time for her to find her perfect family. Katy is a young, purebred German Shepherd. She is fully house trained, crate trained, has incredible recall, knows basic commands and is the sweetest type of loyal! Katy has more heart than most dogs you meet - she's eager to make you happy and thats often the only reward she needs.
Car rides are her second favorite thing (outside of her people) and she's content for long roadtrips or quick morning coffee runs. She's athletic and loves a long walk, run, or time splashing/swimming in the water. She is most happy wherever her person is - even if that means hanging on the couch all day or sleeping under your desk while you work. Katy is currently in a foster home with no fence and does incredibly well on off leash walks/runs. She would love a home with previous German Shepherd experience committed to continuing socialization and exercise.
Katy is being fostered in Powhatan, VA. She is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations, and on monthly preventatives. Her adoption fee is $375 and covers the cost of care while in foster. To apply to adopt Katy, visit www.beaglesandbentleys.org/adopt.
Note: Sending a Petfinder inquiry is not submitting an application. We require a completed adoption application to move forward with adoption.
Beagles and Bentleys has an across-the-board evaluative process that we apply to every application we review that prioritizes our animals in need. We conduct a vet reference check (all resident dogs must be altered/up to date on dhpp/rabies and monthly preventatives) and a virtual home visit call where we discuss the adoption process and see your home.
