Meet Nyx — A Beautiful German Shepherd With a Heart of Gold!

Beauty, brains, a little bit of chaos, and a whole lot of love! Meet Nyx, an absolutely gorgeous, purebred German Shepherd who's searching for her happily ever after!

At almost 11 months old and approximately 55 pounds, Nyx is the sweetest, silliest, most lovable girl you could ever hope to meet! She's playful, affectionate, full of personality, and has absolutely no idea how big she is!

Nyx was originally gifted to someone who genuinely cared for her but never intended to have a dog and simply didn't have the time a growing puppy deserves. Unfortunately, Nyx also came from a Houston-area breeder with a concerning reputation. Despite her less-than-ideal start, this beautiful girl has so much love to give!

Nyx is looking for an active, patient family who will help her continue blossoming into the incredible dog we know she can be! She's incredibly shy when meeting new people, and while we don't know exactly what she's experienced, we've already watched her confidence grow tremendously. Once she feels safe, her goofy, affectionate personality really shines!

Because her previous owner worked long hours, Nyx became accustomed to pottying in her kennel. She's made wonderful progress with a consistent routine, but her future family must be understanding and willing to continue working on her house-training. She's still a puppy, after all!

Loves car rides, adventures, and snuggling with her favorite humans!

Now, we must confess Nyx has one naughty little habit... she's an ESCAPE ARTIST! Apparently, this clever girl missed the memo that she's a German Shepherd, not Houdini! Nyx has a curious, adventurous spirit and has been known to test her escape skills. For her safety, Nyx must never be left outside unattended and requires supervision whenever she's in the backyard. A secure yard and a family committed to keeping a watchful eye on her are an absolute must! We promise her sweet personality more than makes up for her occasional mischievous adventures!

While Nyx adores children, her enthusiastic personality and larger size make her better suited for a home without very small children who could accidentally get knocked over during playtime.

Looking for a hiking partner? Nyx is ready! Need a running buddy? She's already warming up! Prefer cuddling on the couch after a long day? She's happy to clock in for that shift, too!

And did we mention this girl is a FOODIE? Cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders... Nyx has never met a delicious snack she didn't want to investigate! Apparently, she has champagne taste and absolutely no intention of pretending otherwise!

Nyx doesn't need a perfect family. She needs a patient, loving one who understands that confidence takes time, consistency makes all the difference, and sometimes the most wonderful dogs just need someone willing to give them a chance.
