PERSONALITY
Molly is a young puppy looking for her place in the world. She is very sweet and gentle and learning to build her confidence. She has been following an older female dog since her rescue and looks to Momo for queues in the environment. But she is starting to play on her own with toys in the morning and evening and sometimes 2am. She sleeps a lot during the day and has had no potty accidents in doors. She is a wonderful puppy with huge potential to blend in to any type of family.
HEALTH & CARE NEEDS
Molly had her first vet visit 22 Sept.
Hookworms - being treated, 23 Sept first dose given, 5 October 2nd dose
HW negative
Will need to be spayed, beginning to come in to heat
She did well at the vet, was easy to work with, and took medication easily. She is a submissive dog who finds comfort in being with others.
HOME LIFE
Molly enjoys being inside, but is comfortable outside when it’s not hot. She likes cooling off in shallow water, but did not enjoy the hose bath she was given. Although she didn’t mind being soaped up and dryed off with a towel. She met 2 other female dogs and showed no signs of aggression, just unsure what to do. She sleeps during the day and is a quiet puppy. She plays independently with toys and likes to explore the house with her mouth at 2am. Crate training is being introduced.

HISTORY
Molly arrived in our area with an older female dog, Momo, and a large white intact male Great Pyrenees. The Pyrenees stayed somewhat stand-offish, while Molly and Momo quickly showed how closely connected they were. They lived underneath an old church building for a few days until Momo trusted enough to have a slip lead put on and go inside a fenced yard. Molly followed with some encouragement and reassurance. Once they were safely inside a fenced yard, the Pyrenees eventually moved on. Molly learned to trust more after a couple more days where a collar was put on. She would rather follow Momo than the human with a leash.
We don't know whether Momo and Molly are mother and daughter, but Momo very clearly acts like a mother to Molly, and Molly looks to Momo for reassurance and guidance.
