About Rainy
Rainy is a loving, energetic dog with lots of personality. She has experience around other dogs, cats, and even chickens. She can be somewhat dominant when first meeting other animals, but generally settles in and gets along well once she becomes comfortable.
Rainy is good with children and enjoys being part of family activities. Because she is a large dog, she sometimes forgets her size when she gets excited and likes to jump up and give hugs. One of her favorite activities is going for car rides. She loves putting her face out the window and moving around the backseat to take in the view.
Rainy would thrive in a home with more space and opportunities to burn off her energy. She is an active dog who would benefit from plenty of exercise, structure, and room to move. She is affectionate and loyal, although she can also be stubborn at times.
Rainy has a strong prey drive and may chase rabbits and squirrels. Because of this, she needs consistent supervision and a secure environment when she is outside. If she is outside while her person is occupied, she should be kept on a leash or otherwise securely contained so she cannot wander off after wildlife.
Rainy does well at the groomer, although she can become tired after a long wash. She also enjoys having plenty of water available during grooming.
Loud and chaotic environments can make Rainy anxious, and fireworks are particularly stressful for her. During holidays or events involving loud noises, she is most comfortable indoors in a safe, secure space with people she trusts.
Rainy would do best with an active family or individual who can provide her with exercise, structure, patience, and plenty of love. In return, she has the potential to be a devoted companion who is always ready for her next adventure.
