Meet Yuka!

Yuka is a sweet, gentle girl who is looking for a patient family willing to give her the time she needs to feel safe and comfortable.

Yuka is very shy around new people and animals. When she’s nervous, she loves to find a cozy place to hide and observe from a safe distance. She may take a little while to come out of her shell, but once she feels comfortable, you get to see a completely different side of her. She becomes curious, playful, affectionate, and loves spending time outdoors exploring.

Yuka LOVES being outside and really enjoys exploring once she feels safe.

She is doing very well with crate training and is comfortable in her crate.

She is still getting comfortable with walking on a leash, but she is making good progress and improving with practice.

Yuka is still working on being fully potty trained and will need a family who is willing to continue her training with patience and consistency.

Yuka would do best with someone who understands that she is a slow-to-warm-up girl. She may need some time before she trusts you, but once she does, she is absolutely worth it.

She doesn’t need someone to rush her. She needs someone who will let her take things at her own pace, give her a safe environment, and show her that she is finally home.
