Meet Simon
Born July 19, 2022, Simon is a stunning German Shepherd who's ready to celebrate his upcoming 4th birthday with a forever familypreferably one that includes snacks and plenty of love.
This handsome boy is as friendly as he is eye-catching. Simon enjoys meeting people, is great with both men and women, and has done well with kids, although he can be a bit jumpy for smaller children. He's also been good with female dogs, though he hasn't yet been tested with male dogs or cats.
Simon is house trained, rides well in the car, and is already picking up his basic mannershe knows sit, down, come, and leave it, and responds well to verbal guidance. He's eager to please and very food motivated, which makes training both fun and effective though he may occasionally wonder if that unattended snack on the counter is really off limits.
At home, Simon is a relaxed and happy companion. He's allowed on furniture, enjoys lounging, and often chooses a cozy spot on the carpet near his people to settle in for the night. He tolerates grooming well and is generally well-mannered, greeting life (and visitors) with a wag and a smile.
Simon can be a bit jumpy at times and is still learning boundaries, so a home committed to structure and consistency will help him continue to thrive. A secure fence or attentive leash handling will also be important while he builds confidence and awareness.
Recently treated to a dental cleaning and corrective eye surgery, Simon is feeling better than ever and working toward his ideal weight of 80 lbs. With a good diet and a loving home, he's set up for a healthy, happy future.

Our adoption fees cover all up to date veterinary needs, including but not limited to: full veterinary examination, age appropriate vaccinations, fecal test and parasite prevention, wellness bloodwork, spay or neuter, and microchip. All dogs will be started on a 6 week trial of pet insurance after adoption.
