Meet Reggie, a three-year-old Labrador mix who can best be described as a gentle, well-mannered gentleman looking for a quiet, loving home to call his own. Sweet, shy, and wonderfully mellow, Reggie prefers the simple pleasures in lifegood company, a cozy place to rest, and a predictable daily routine.
Reggie is house-trained, crate-free reliable, and rides well in the car. He walks nicely on leash with a bit of enthusiasm at times and understands basic commands such as sit, stay, and come. He is polite in the home, enjoys his treats, and appreciates the comfort of furniture privilegeswhether that's a dog bed, sofa, or sharing space with his people.
Deeply devoted, Reggie forms strong attachments and seems to especially enjoys the company of his foster dad, often following him quietly from room to room. He greets each morning with affection, happily joining you for a cuddle to start the day. While he may be a little vocal when left alone, this simply reflects how much he values companionship. Reggie does appreciate having his own space while resting and would do best in a home with older children who can respect his boundaries and give him time to relax undisturbed.
While in the care of Precious Paws Rescue, Reggie was found to have elevated eosinophil and monocyte levels on his bloodwork. He was recently treated with medication and will require a follow-up CBC blood test in mid-June with his adoptive family to ensure his levels have returned to a healthy range.
As Reggie continues his care, he will be available through a foster-to-adopt arrangement within Simcoe county. This means that Reggie can begin settling into his adoptive home while we continue monitoring his medical progress, and his adoption will be finalized once his bloodwork is confirmed to be within normal limits by our veterinary partners .
If you are looking for a steady, affectionate companion with impeccable house manners and a soft soul, Reggie is ready to take on the role and your couch.
Our adoption fees cover all up to date veterinary needs, including but not limited to: full veterinary examination, age appropriate vaccinations, fecal test and parasite prevention, wellness bloodwork, spay or neuter, and microchip.
