I'm Finn! I'm the kind of dog who loves being with my person and sharing life's adventures. Long walks are one of my favorite things, especially through the vineyards where I've spent so much time exploring. I walk nicely on a leash and am always happy to head out wherever the day takes us.

I'm a friendly guy who enjoys meeting new people. I might give a bark or two when we first meet—just making sure I know who's saying hello—but I settle down quickly once I realize we're friends. Sometimes I get so excited that I may jump up to say hello, but I'm a good listener and eager to please.

At home, I'm easy to live with. I have good house manners, I'm comfortable being left alone when you need to go out, and I'm a great passenger in the car. I get along well with other dogs and have even lived peacefully with a cat and small puppies. In my new home, I might enjoy having a mellow female dog as a companion, but I'm just as happy being your one and only—I don't need another dog to be content.

I'm about 74 pounds, which I think is the perfect size for leaning against you, following you from room to room, and curling up close at bedtime. Being near my person is my favorite place in the world. I'm affectionate, loyal, and happiest when we're together. If you'll let me, I'd love to sleep nearby—or even share your bed.

Because I come from purebred working German Shepherd lines, I'm smart, observant, and quick to learn. I enjoy having a job to do, even if that job is simply being your devoted companion. I do have a healthy prey drive, so I'll happily chase rabbits and other critters if given the chance, and I'll need someone who understands and manages that instinct.
