Bodie came to us from the shelter skinny and underweight at 66 lbs. What they didn't know was that Bodie has Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI). For those unfamiliar with EPI, it's when the pancreas doesn't make enough digestive enzymes to properly break down food and absorb nutrients so all you have to do is add enzymes to his meals — that's it! It's very manageable and affordable.

Since getting the care he needed, his skin has completely cleared up and he is absolutely stunning. But what makes Bodie even more special is his personality. His weight is great too !

He's the kind of best friend who will gently lay his big bear-like head in your lap and curl up by your feet. He absolutely loves getting brushed. With his adorable face and loving nature, he's impossible not to fall in love with. Ever have a dog that loves the vet and their staff, ever have a chill dog that actually falls asleep in the waiting room? YEP. you got it !

Bodie loves playing with other dogs and definitely enjoys his stuffed toys — although the hardy kind are recommended unless you want white fluff covering your yard. Car rides? YES PLEASE. Bodie is always ready for the next adventure. He is an A+ when he comes to walks. He's calm, has a nice pace and doesn't pull.

He's looking for an active family who will include him in their lifestyle, outings, and daily adventures. He ignores the chill cat and the horses next door like a gentleman.

He's pretty close to the perfect dog... but will he be yours? We're looking for a committed family or person(s) to give him the love he deserves. He had a rough life and we got him through that. Now to get his 'purfect' person. Works both ways, right? He is very very special to us and he woud love to live with dogs. If not, then he wants to be with you whereever you go. He is a fantastic car companion. Providing him with the best diet has done wonders for him, and it's simply good straighforward nutrition. He loves his food, with veggies and some fruit. Takes treats with the gentlest mouth ever.
