Enzo Baby is one of those puppies that makes you immediately start picturing your life with him. Maybe it's the giant floppy ears. Maybe it's the oversized puppy feet. Maybe it's the fact that his fur is somehow softer than a bunny rabbit. Or maybe it's because Enzo has that rare combination of being both incredibly sweet and incredibly easy to love. He's the kind of puppy that wants to be wherever his people are, whether that's riding on a golf cart, taking a trip to the beach, snoozing at your feet while you work, or curled up beside you at bedtime.

Enzo Baby is approximately 4 months old, currently weighs around 37 lbs, and we believe he may be a German Shepherd mix with perhaps a little Bloodhound sprinkled in there somewhere. With rescue it's always a mystery and we can never guarantee breed or age. That said, between those floppy ears, his giant puppy feet, and a nose that can seemingly locate treats from across the house, we'd be willing to bet there's some hound mixed in there.
One of the first things you'll notice about Enzo is just how sweet and gentle he is. This isn't a puppy that's constantly looking for trouble or bouncing off the walls. He's thoughtful, affectionate, and loves being close to his people. Once he knows you, he becomes incredibly loyal and devoted. His foster describes him as her little shadow because wherever she goes, Enzo isn't far behind. If she's sitting down, he's nearby. If she's walking through the house, he's following along. If it's bedtime, he's more than happy to curl up next to her and sleep peacefully through the night.
Enzo is also a big fan of other dogs and honestly, this is where he really shines. He is currently being fostered with two large dogs and one small dog and absolutely loves having canine friends around. He enjoys their company, learns from them, and seems more confident when another dog is nearby. Because of how much he enjoys other dogs, we think Enzo would be happiest in a home with a friendly canine companion. He truly seems to love being part of a pack. Ezno also met our house cat Biggie and met him appropriately and was very respectful around him. He did not chase Biggie, nor was he bothered by Biggie jumping or doing what cats do. Biggie also seemed to feel comfortable around him as well. We do not know if Enzo has ever lived in a home before with a cat and this was our first time seeing him with a cat. If you have a cat in the home, we can arrange for him to have a sleepover with a cat upon request. Just let us know!
For such a young puppy, Enzo is already showing everyone just how smart he is. He knows how to sit, is crate trained, potty trained, has wonderful house manners, and rides beautifully in the car. He's also learning how to walk nicely on leash like the little prince he believes he is. His love of treats certainly helps. Enzo is very food motivated and enjoys learning, which will make continuing his training both fun and rewarding.
One of our favorite things about Enzo is how much he enjoys simply being included. His foster regularly takes him on adventures and he absolutely loves it. Beach trips? Count him in. Golf cart rides? Absolutely. Car rides? One of his favorite things. He enjoys watching the world go by and taking in all the sights, sounds, and smells around him.
Like many young dogs, Enzo can be a little shy when meeting new people at first. He's still learning that the world is a big place filled with lots of new faces and experiences. The good news is that he's already getting wonderful exposure through outings and adventures with his foster. As he continues building confidence through socialization, structure, and routine, we expect him to continue blossoming into an amazing adult dog.
Enzo is also remarkably well balanced for a puppy. While he enjoys adventures and playtime, his foster describes him as pretty relaxed around the house. He isn't constantly demanding entertainment and settles nicely into daily life. Because of this, we think he has the potential to thrive in a variety of homes, including an apartment, condo, or a home with a backyard. If you're looking for a puppy that's sweet, gentle, loyal, dog friendly, cuddly, and already showing all the signs of becoming an incredible companion, Enzo might just be your perfect match. He's the type of dog that doesn't just want a family. He wants to be part of everything you do. And honestly, that's one of our favorite things about him
We are willing to test Enzo Baby with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know.
