Bean Dip. Beans. Beanie. Bean Bean. This tiny little fella has more nicknames than he does body mass LOL. Seriously though, Bean Dip is so small that people regularly do a double take when they see him in person. He looks like someone accidentally hit the "shrink" button on a perfectly normal dog and somehow ended up with this adorable pocket-sized companion instead. The best part? Unlike the stereotypical Chihuahua reputation, Bean Dip is all sweetness, cuddles, and easygoing charm wrapped up in one teeny tiny package.
Watch his video and prepare to become emotionally attached to a dog smaller than most house cats: https://youtu.be/k50kwcEsuVw?si=zY7ySF3df6PqV6zB
Bean Dip is believed to be a Chihuahua approximately 3 years old and currently weighs just 5.3 lbs. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. What we CAN guarantee though is that this tiny little fella has somehow managed to pack an enormous amount of sweetness into a body that barely weighs more than a bag of flour.
If you're expecting a stereotypical spicy Chihuahua, Bean Dip would like to respectfully decline those allegations. This little guy is incredibly sweet, friendly, and well-rounded. He's affectionate without being demanding, confident without being pushy, and genuinely just enjoys hanging out with his people. He is very much a lap dog and seems perfectly content spending quality time curled up next to you while you work, watch TV, read a book, or do absolutely nothing at all.
Beans has also been wonderful with other dogs. In fact, one of the things we love most about him is how well he handles being around dogs that are two, three, and even four times his size. He doesn't walk around acting like he's ten feet tall trying to pick fights LOL. He's social, easygoing, and respectful. If another dog gets a little too rough or forgets their manners, Bean Dip is perfectly capable of politely advocating for himself with a little growl that basically translates to, "Sir, I am approximately the size of a baked potato. Please back up." His corrections have been fair and appropriate, and overall he has done great with the dogs he has met.
Beans also met our house cat Biggie and met him appropriately and was very respectful around him. He did not chase Biggie, nor was he bothered by Biggie jumping or doing what cats do. Biggie also felt comfortable around her as well. We do not know if he has ever lived in a home before with a cat and this was our first time seeing him with a cat. If you have a cat in the home, we can arrange for Beans to have a sleepover with a cat upon request. Just let us know!
Bean Dip is crate trained, potty trained, and honestly just seems to be one of those rare little dogs that arrived with his life mostly figured out already. He's calm, friendly, adaptable, and easy to live with. He can go outside and explore the yard, come back inside and curl up on the couch, and be perfectly content. No drama. No chaos. Just good vibes and tiny dog energy.
Energy-wise, Beans falls comfortably into the easygoing category. He's not looking to run a marathon or spend his weekends scaling mountains. He enjoys sniffing around outside, spending time with his people, and then settling in for some quality relaxation. He would likely do great in an apartment, condo, townhome, or traditional house because he simply isn't asking for much beyond love, companionship, and a comfortable place to nap.
At the end of the day, Bean Dip feels like the kind of dog people spend years looking for. He's tiny, sweet, affectionate, dog friendly, well socialized, and refreshingly uncomplicated. If your dream dog is a pocket-sized best friend that wants nothing more than to love you and be loved right back, Bean Dip might just be your perfect little Bean Bean.
We are willing to test Bean Dip with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen. Just let us know.
