Please note: Ares is not a Bruno Project Rescue dog. We are sharing his story as a courtesy to help his family find the right home for him.

Ares is a handsome, approximately 7-year-old, 70-pound neutered German Shepherd who absolutely loves his people. He is affectionate, cuddly, playful, and happiest when he can be part of his family's everyday life.

Ares's family loves him deeply, but unfortunately, he is not able to live safely and comfortably with the other animals in his current home. They are making the difficult decision to find him a home better suited to his needs.

Ares needs to be the ONLY pet in his new home. He does not do well with cats and should not live with other dogs or other animals. A home without children would also be the best fit for him.

With people, Ares has so much to offer. He is house trained, crate trained and leash trained, and he knows several basic commands, including sit, stay, come, down and leave it. He is a good listener and loves interacting with his humans.

Give this boy a fenced yard and a ball, and you'll see his happy side come alive. Ares loves running, playing fetch, spending time outdoors and then settling in for some affection with his favorite people.

At 7 years old, Ares isn't looking for a complicated life. He needs a calm, stable home where he can be someone's one and only—with a predictable routine, plenty of activity, and people who will love him for exactly who he is.

His family wants nothing more than to see him safe, loved and thriving in a home where he no longer has to navigate the stress of living with other animals.
