Say hello to Norman! We are guessing his age to be about 5ish yrs. This handsome Shepherd with possible hints of Belgian was left behind when his family had to leave their home. He is not happy about shelter life which is very common for Shepherds. Norman does not present well in his kennel but outside, he will show you a much different dog. He walks nicely on leash, enjoys his walks and you can see some of the stress melt away. He also knows sit, down, will take treats gently and warms up for affection/praise. He will definitely bond with his person as he has shown this with volunteers he has spent time with.

Norman enjoys yard time, and although he hasn’t exhibited much drive yet to play fetch or tug, we believe he has it in him. He passed his initial dog/dog assessment but will need a meet /greet to make sure it is the right fit. He will do some corrections if needed, and this is part of the breed overall.

We would like a person who has Shepherd experience that will understand what he needs, keep him groomed properly, engage with him, and allow him a place to decompress and settle.
