Meet Bruno Boy!

5.5 years old | Long-Haired German Shepherd

If you've always dreamed of sharing your life with a stunning, loyal German Shepherd who has already settled into adulthood, Bruno Boy might just be your perfect match.

Bruno is the definition of a gentle giant. He has a calm, easygoing personality and absolutely loves being with his people. Whether he's leaning in for pets, snoozing nearby, lounging outside soaking up the fresh air, or curling up next to you on the couch or in bed at night, Bruno is happiest simply being close to the people he loves.

He's a smart boy who is kennel trained, knows his basic commands, and genuinely enjoys spending time in his kennel. In fact, it's one of his favorite places to relax! Leave the door open while you're home, and you'll often find him happily hanging out inside on his own.

Bruno is incredibly food motivated and loves a good game of fetch, making training both fun and rewarding. On warm summer days, you'll also find him happily splashing or lounging in a kiddie pool. It's one of his favorite ways to beat the heat!

Bruno has done wonderfully living with other medium and large dogs and would enjoy a canine companion with a similar play style and energy level. Because of his strong prey drive, however, he needs a home without cats or other small animals.

His ideal home is a quieter one without constant visitors or lots of activity coming and going. While he's never lived with children, we think he'd be happiest in an adult home where he can enjoy the peaceful lifestyle he loves.

As with many Shepherds, Bruno enjoys exploring the outdoors and taking in all the sights and smells, so a securely fenced yard of at least 4 feet would be wonderful. He does need to stay on leash anytime he's outside of a fenced area, as his recall isn't reliable and he'll happily follow his nose if given the opportunity.

One of Bruno's funniest little quirks is that he has the sweetest high-pitched "singing" voice. If he's excited, wants a snack, or thinks it's time for something fun, he'll let you know with his adorable little whine that's guaranteed to make you smile.
