Brazos - German Shepherd Dog and Belgian Shepherd Malinois Dog for Adoption in Aledo, Texas

MEET BRAZOS - SMART, HANDSOME & LOOKING FOR HIS FOREVER HOME!
Sometimes life changes, and the dogs we love find themselves back at the rescue through no fault of their own. That's the situation for Brazos and his sister, Etra. Now, this incredibly smart boy is looking for a family ready to help him grow into the amazing dog he's meant to be!
DNA Tested: German Shepherd / Husky / Belgian Malinois Mix
Brazos is a bright, people-loving puppy with so much potential! He's friendly, eager to learn, and highly motivated by both treats and praise. He's already crate trained and knows SIT - a great starting point for a puppy with his intelligence!
A little about Brazos:
Friendly and wonderful with children
Extremely smart and eager to learn
Food and praise motivated - training opportunities abound!
Crate trained
Knows sit
Just beginning his leash-training journey and showing promising progress
Does well with other dogs, including older Huskies
Does well with the indoor cat he's familiar with
Has been around ducks and chickens without showing aggression, although he has been known to steal eggs!
Brazos is the calmer of the two siblings, but make no mistake - he's still a puppy with plenty of energy to burn! He's also teething, so appropriate chew toys, patience, and consistent guidance are important.
Because he has a strong prey drive toward outdoor animals, a home with outdoor cats would not be recommended.
Brazos needs a family willing to invest in continued training, exercise, enrichment, and all the adventures that come with raising a smart working-breed mix. With the right guidance, this boy has so much potential!
He's dewormed, vaccinated, crate trained, and ready for his next chapter. Brazos and Etra can be placed together or separately, depending on the right fit.
Could Brazos be your new best friend?
