Dory - Fox Terrier and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Mason, Michigan

Dory is a 6-month-old Pit Bull mix who came to us as a stray and is still learning that the world can be a safe place. She is very scared in the shelter and isn’t comfortable walking on a leash yet, so she currently needs to be carried.

She currently has a cherry eye, which will be treated by us.

She is learning how to play with other dogs and would do best with an easygoing, socially appropriate dog who can help show her the ropes. She will need slow, patient socialization and plenty of time to build confidence.

A quiet, calm home with a patient adopter who is willing to let her progress at her own pace would be the best fit for this shy girl. With time, patience, and positive experiences, she has the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion.
