Meet Peggy 💛
Peggy is truly beautiful. She is great with other dogs, is very good with cats, adores children, and is happiest as a loyal companion by your side. At just 2½ years old, this sweet English Setter has already overcome so much. Found abandoned near a lake in Serbia, Peggy survived thanks to the kindness of strangers. After being hit by a car and suffering serious injuries, she fought her way back with the help of dedicated veterinary care—and never lost her gentle spirit. Today, Peggy is thriving. The only reminder of her injuries is that sometimes she has a slight hop or limp, but it doesn’t slow her down—she still loves chasing birds, going on walks, and enjoying life.
Peggy is incredibly loving and forms strong bonds with her people. If you give her the chance, she would probably cuddle with you all day. She prefers a home where someone is around most of the time. She does best free-roaming rather than in a crate and enjoys calm environments. She lays around and sleeps while we are gone. She doesn’t chew on anything or have accidents, ever. She doesn’t even play with any of the toys we have available. She is completely housebroken and is very trustworthy outside of the crate. Her foster dad says that she is one of the best dogs he’s been around, for sure.
Peggy would love to go to a home with a fenced in yard, but she also enjoys going for leash-walks. She is good on a leash. She does fine in cars, and settles down for the ride quickly.
Peggy isn’t just looking for a home—she’s looking for her person. In return, she’ll give endless love, loyalty, and companionship. If Peggy seems like she would be a good fit for your household, please put in an application!
