Meet Eli, a 5-month-old English Coonhound / Husky mix, weighing 15 pounds (as of 4/29/26). Eli lived life as a stray before being found, but his next goal is finding his fur-ever home!

At the shelter, Eli is known for his sweet disposition and boundless energy. If this boy were an emoji, he'd be the grinning face: all teeth and full of joy! He enjoys playing tag and his antics are sure to make anyone smile. He's also working on not using his mouth during play; he just gets so excited! Eli loves to make besties wherever he goes, whether they're humans, other dogs, cats or children! He's the perfect companion for anyone looking for a fun-loving and loyal friend. Eli has experience being leash-walked, crated, and seems to be housebroken (though he does ask for your patience once he adjusts to your home).

Don't wait! Bring this adorable bundle of love to your home today!

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.

Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.
