Persila - Dutch Shepherd Dog for Adoption in Medfield, Massachusetts

Persila: 6-year-old Dutch/Belgian Shepherd mix, 55 pounds.

Persila is a smart, sweet 6-year-old girl who is ready to find her forever family. She was pulled from a West Tennessee shelter and has been in a foster home since late August, where she has settled in beautifully.

Persila loves being petted, going for walks, and especially riding in the car. Her foster describes her as a “really good dog” who listens very well, is very smart, and walks great on a leash. She’s fully house broken and crate trained

Persila is gentle with other dogs, and gets along fine with the cat in her foster home. She's described as "average energy", and in foster gets exercise by playing with the other dogs in the yard, plus a 30-minute evening walk. She has completed treatment for heartworm, and is ready for her new home.

Persila is looking for a loving home, where she can be included in family activities and adventures. She makes a great traveling companion, always up for a car ride. Shepherds are smart and loyal dogs, who like to learn and have a job to do. Persila would do best with children 5 and older.

All dogs are up to date on their shots, dewormed and spayed or neutered.
Vet fees, transport fee and New England quarantine fees ARE INCLUDED in each dog's adoption fee.
Forever Home Rescue makes all of the transportation arrangements.

Forever Home Rescue suggests obedience training for all puppies and dogs.
Any dogs older than pups--even if they are not marked housetrained in their posting---usually housetrain within a day or two, because most are used to living outside in the South and will prefer to do their business outdoors.
Our dogs and pups are best suited for families with children 5 yrs old and up.

Also, please note our open houses which occur most every week at foreverhomerescue.org. You can see when we are open and also which dogs will be at each open house. Dogs marked 'out of town' will not usually be at open houses until they are local.
