Tango was surrendered because he was not a good fit for the toddler in his previous home. To help ensure his success, we recommend a home without toddlers or very young children.
Tango is a friendly, well-rounded Doberman with many wonderful qualities. He has lived successfully with a female dog and is reported to get along well with other male dogs. He enjoys going for walks and walks nicely on leash, although he can occasionally pull when something catches his interest.
Tango is crate trained. He is friendly with strangers, rides well in the car, and handles veterinary visits with ease.
Like many Dobermans, Tango has a high prey drive, so a home without small animals may be the best fit for him. His previous owner also reported that he may occasionally guard his food and favorite people, so his new family should be willing to continue reinforcing appropriate boundaries and management. For this reason, he would do best with an experienced owner who understands canine body language and resource guarding.
Tango is looking for a family that will provide him with structure, consistency, and the love he deserves. In the right home, he will be a loyal and devoted companion for years to come.
