At just 1 year old, Carmine is a young black and rust Doberman with natural ears, a docked tail, and all the goofy, oversized energy that comes with Doberman adolescence. At around 75 pounds, hes still very much a puppy in a big body, full of life, curiosity, and enthusiasm for everything around him.
This handsome guy is sweet, affectionate, and incredibly people-oriented. Carmine loves to be near his humans and is the kind of dog who wants to be involved in everything you do. Hes playful, food motivated, loves fetch, tug, and would happily spend his day running outside, playing with toys, and soaking up attention.
Carmine has been evaluated by both trainers and rescue volunteers, and everyone agrees hes a really good dog. Hes social, eager to please, and responds well to calm, consistent guidance. Like many young Dobermans, he can be impulsive, excitable, and jumpy when overstimulated, so hell need an adopter who understands the breed and is ready to continue his training.
He is housebroken, crate trained, and has lived with other dogs. Carmine may do well with another playful dog his size, but proper introductions are always important. No cats for Carmine.
Carmine would thrive in an active home with large breed experience, structure, and someone who appreciates the wild, lovable chaos of Doberman adolescence. Hes not a finished product, hes a young dog with tons of potential who just needs the right person to guide him.
If youre looking for a fun, loyal, velcro Doberman to grow with, Carmine may be your guy.
