Meet Jasper

Jasper is a handsome 3-year-old Dalmatian looking for a home that can give him the love, structure, and attention he deserves.

Jasper is an affectionate, loyal boy who truly embodies the classic "Velcro Dalmatian" personality. He loves being close to his people and is happiest when he's curled up beside you on the couch or sleeping next to you at night. If you're looking for a devoted companion, Jasper is your guy.

This sweet boy loves car rides, long walks, playing outside, fetch, and tug-of-war. He doesn't bark much and is generally quiet, only joining in when another dog starts barking. Jasper is extremely loyal to his family and forms strong bonds with the people he loves.

Jasper does well with children over the age of 9 and absolutely adores female dogs. He currently has a special bond with a female Dalmatian named Leia.

Because he has had conflicts with small dogs in his current home, Jasper is seeking a home without small dogs or cats. He does best with dogs his own size and would likely benefit from having a canine companion of similar size to help keep him company.

Jasper is both house-trained and crate-trained. He does experience some separation anxiety, so he will thrive with a family or individual who has the time to devote to him and can provide the exercise, companionship, and mental stimulation he needs. Like many intelligent, active Dalmatians, he can become restless when he doesn't get enough daily activity.

Jasper also has a medical consideration: he is sensitive to high purines and requires a Dalmatian-appropriate diet to help maintain his health.

Despite being misunderstood at times, Jasper is truly a sweetheart. He is looking for an experienced owner who understands dogs, can provide consistent guidance and training, and will welcome him as a cherished member of the family. He is not the type of dog who wants to be left on the sidelines—he wants to be involved in your life, included in your adventures, and loved every step of the way.
