🇺🇸
Normal, Illinois
October 16th
female, small, young
DESCRIPTION
Sweet Tart is a 1-year-old Dachshund mix who tips the scales at just 8.5 pounds. She's a little sweet and a little tart, but that's only because this tiny girl is scared and still figuring out the world around her. She needs an adult-only home, a secure, fenced yard, and a patient adopter who will give her time to decompress, learn about life as a family dog, and discover what it means to be loved. A confident canine companion may help her adjust, too.
Sweet Tart needs someone willing to let her blossom at her own pace and show her that life can be pretty sweet. Her adoption fee is $300, plus a $15 rabies registration fee for McLean County residents if she is 4 months or older.
She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.

ABOUT: DACHSHUND DOG BREED
The dachshund is a small dog breed known for its long body, short legs, and distinctive appearance. Originally bred for hunting badgers, these playful and loyal dogs make loving companions for families. Dachshunds come in three coat varieties smooth, wirehaired, and longhaired each with its own unique charm. Despite their size, dachshunds are bold and courageous, with a curious nature that can sometimes lead to mischief. Their endearing personality and adaptability make them popular pets worldwide.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
