DESCRIPTION
Hot Rod is a 1-year-old Beagle mix weighing 20 pounds, and he's ready to find a family to call his own! He will likely do best with kids ages 12 and up and needs a secure, fenced yard. Since he's spent his life around other dogs, having a confident canine companion could help him feel more comfortable and bring him out of his shell.
With patience, encouragement, and a family willing to help him settle in, Hot Rod can start discovering just how good the good life can be! His adoption fee is $300, plus a $15 rabies registration fee for McLean County residents if he is 4 months or older.
He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.

ABOUT: BEAGLE DOG BREED
The Beagle is a beloved breed known for its friendly nature, curious personality, and distinctive howl. These small to medium sized dogs are incredibly sociable and get along well with both humans and other pets. Beagles are curious and energetic, always eager to follow a scent with their incredible sense of smell, making them excellent hunting and tracking dogs. Their short coat is easy to maintain, and they are adaptable to various living environments, making them popular companions for families and individuals alike.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
