Scooby is a one-year-old brown and white Dachshund mix with soft floppy ears, big soulful dark eyes, and a face so genuinely adorable it stops people in their tracks. He arrived at Cobb Animal Services on July 2nd and this cute, sweet, playful boy is already winning hearts. At 19 lbs he is a compact, perfectly portable little guy who fits beautifully into almost any living situation - apartment, house, family, or single - he is adaptable and easy to love.

Scooby is house trained, cat friendly, good with children, and obedient - a wonderfully well rounded young dog who gets along with everyone and arrives already knowing how to be a good housemate. He is a little shy as he settles in, which is completely understandable for a dog adjusting to a new environment, and speaks to a gentle, sensitive nature that will reward patience beautifully.

At just one year old Scooby is right at the beginning of his best years - past the most unpredictable puppy moments and stepping into the dog he is going to be for a long time to come. He is playful and sweet in equal measure, the kind of young dog who brings energy and joy without being overwhelming.

This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
