Jenkins is wickedly smart, 6 year old, 30 pound, fully vetted Corgi. He is an absolute fetch pro and masters puzzles in a matter of minutes. He figured out that the best way to get you to throw the ball is to drop it right at your feet and he will also vacuum up any messes in the kitchen. Jenkins will do anything for a couple of cheerios (he knows sit, down, wait, shake, roll, etc) and is always down to play. Once he's tuckered out, Jenkins will find the perfect position to snuggle right up next to you, a perfect little spoon. He's not shy about letting you know how he's feeling and certainly will let you know if you're even a minute past dinner time! He is crate-trained, used to wearing a harness (though he knows it as "getting lassoed"), and accustomed to using a doggie door.
Jenkins has lived with another dog, but after an incident at a boarding facility, he now gets very stressed around other pups and has twice redirected aggression toward his human parents. He has seen a behaviorist and has been doing very well by being kept on Fluoxetine and separate from the other dog in the household. His mama has a baby on the way, so with the previous aggression redirection due to the other dog in the home, it was decided that a home without other dogs is really what he needs to thrive and also keep the new baby safe.
He has lived with an older cat, but we cannot confirm if he would do well with new cats.
