Meet Simon, a 4 month old red and white corgi mix with short legs, a long body, and a playful, intelligent personality. He is expected to stay on the smaller side of medium when fully grown, though he will likely remain low to the ground due to his breed mix.
Simon was found after being left outside in a crate for several days. Neighbors attempted to make contact, but no one answered, and animal control was ultimately contacted. Scout’s Street Smart Rescue was able to safely bring him into care, and after completing his stray hold with no owner coming forward, he became available for adoption.
Shortly after rescue, Simon tested positive for parvo. He received treatment and has since made a full recovery and is medically cleared.
Simon is now healthy, vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He is a friendly and social puppy who does well with other dogs, cats, and children. He would fit into a variety of home environments, but potential adopters should be familiar with the needs of corgi type dogs. They are known for being smart, active, and in need of both mental and physical stimulation.
Simon is looking for a home that will provide structure, engagement, and continued guidance as he grows. He has a great foundation and will make a wonderful companion for a family ready for a fun and energetic young dog.
