Hi, my name is Ruff! I am a shy boy with a calm temperament and a sweet soul! I haven't met another dog that I don't like, but I can take a while to warm up to new people. I didn't have a great start in life, so I might need a little extra patience to warm up to new people.

I am potty trained, I walk great on a leash, and I am crate trained! In fact, I like spending time in my crate when I get a little overwhelmed because it is my safe space. I am still working on getting used to my humans before learning my commands, but I am a naturally very well-behaved gentleman! I am very food motivated and learn quickly!

I am looking for a dog to be my new best friend. Because I'm a timid guy, I look to other dogs to follow around and learn confidence from. I have won over all three of my doggy foster siblings immediately! Whether we are playing outside or just hanging around the house, I love spending time together all day!

I am very gentle with my one year old human foster brother! If he ever gets a little too energetic for me, I just walk away. I'm not sure about the cats in my foster home yet. I bark at them because I don't understand them, but I have never chased them and the cats mostly stay away from me because they don't like my barking.

With a little patience, lots of love, and a few treats, I am getting more confident and comfortable in my foster home every day. I am learning to love the attention and pets I get from my humans, and I make sure to pay them back with lots of kisses.
