Bear is a 6-year-old male who may be a Border Collie/Pyrenees mix... or maybe a little bit of everything! One thing we know for sure is that he's an absolute gentleman through and through.
This handsome boy is laid-back, happy-go-lucky, and always ready to spend time with his favorite people. Bear absolutely loves attention and being with his humans. Whether you're heading outside for an adventure or relaxing at home, he'll happily be right by your side soaking up all the love and affection he can get.
If you're an outdoorsy family, Bear would love to be your adventure buddy! Whether it's hiking, camping, exploring trails, or simply relaxing in the yard soaking up the sunshine, Bear is happiest when he's with his people.
After a day of fun, Bear is more than happy to settle in for some quality couch time. He's the perfect mix of adventure companion and snuggle buddy, making him an easy fit for many homes.
With his sweet nature, calm demeanor, love for attention, and impeccable gentlemanly manners, Bear is ready to find a family to call his own.

Whos eligible?
U.S. Military Veterans
Active-duty military & National Guard
Active or retired first responders (Police, Firefighters, EMTs/Paramedics & other qualifying professionals)
Proof of service required.
Whats included? (select animals, based on grant availability)
Dogs: Adoption fee WAIVED, food & starter supplies, and approved professional training support
Cats: Adoption fee WAIVED, food & starter supplies
Pets offer companionship, routine, emotional support, and unconditional loveand for many who have served, a pet becomes family.

Go to the Adoptable Animals page and complete a dog or cat adoption application
Bring proof of service when you visit
Once your application is received, a coordinator will contact you to set up a meet-and-greet with your potential new best friend.

The Collie is a graceful and intelligent dog known for their loyalty, gentle nature, and exceptional herding abilities. They come in two coat varieties, rough and smooth, with colors ranging from sable and white to blue merle. Collies excel in obedience training and thrive on mental stimulation and physical activity. Their keen intuition and strong bond with their owners make them wonderful family pets and reliable working dogs in tasks such as herding livestock or in search and rescue missions.
