Betty White fka Lucinda - Chow Chow Dog for Adoption in Houston, Texas

Betty is a petite little Chow Chow with a sweet, gentle, and quiet personality. She's cautious and observant, but after just one week in foster care, she is already blossoming! Her tail is now up all the time, she happily goes in and out of her crate, follows the other dogs outside, and has even decided she should be the one leading the way to the backyard.

Betty is heartworm positive and currently receiving treatment — all heartworm treatment will be covered by HCCR until she tests negative.

Betty gets along beautifully with other dogs. Even when one playful pup grabs her tail, she simply gives him a dirty look and walks away. She truly doesn't seem to have a mean bone in her body!

She is still learning to trust people and isn't quite ready for lots of affection. She may get nervous when you reach into her crate, but she has shown no aggression—she simply retreats to her safe space when she needs a little extra security.

Betty loves lounging on the cool tile floor, watching the world from the front window, relaxing outside, and going for car rides! She would make an excellent little copilot for someone who loves taking their dog along for the ride.

This sweet girl doesn't need someone to rush her. She needs someone who understands that trust takes time and is willing to let her confidence grow at her own pace. And she's already showing us just how much she's capable of blossoming.
