THIS DOG IS FOSTERED IN LOUISIANA AND WILL COME TO CANADA WITH AN ACCEPTED ADOPTION CONTRACT. PUPPIES UNDER THE AGE OF 8 MONTHS CANNOT COME TO CANADA WITHOUT AN APPROVED ADOPTER. You will not be able to meet your puppy ahead of pick up date - Rat Terrier Rescue Canada will attempt to provide you with as many pictures and videos as possible between a confirmed adoption and pick up.
Meet Milkshake!
Milkshake is an 2 month old (born in April 2026) Labrador mix who currently weighs just 5.8 pounds. She was found abandoned, but despite her rough start, she is the sweetest little girl with so much love to give.
Milkshake loves to be cuddled and is happiest curled up in your lap. She enjoys playing with the other dogs and loves being the centre of your attention. Like many puppies, she's discovered that house shoes make excellent toys!
She is doing well with crate training, especially when she has a cozy blanket, and we're currently working on pee pad training. Milkshake has a calm, easygoing personality and loves both her meals and treats.
At bedtime, she'll snuggle up beside you and sleep peacefully through the night without moving. She's very much a little baby who simply wants to be close to her people.
Milkshake is looking for a loving family that will give her the safe, happy life she deserves after such a difficult beginning. Because she is a young puppy, any children in the home should be dog savvy.

Rat Terrier Rescue Canada Adoption Fees
Puppies under 1 year - $775
Young adult 1 year - 5 years $650
Adults 6 years - 9 years $575
Seniors 10+ $325
The adoption fee includes spay/neuter .
*EXCLUDING UNALTERED PUPPIES UNDER A YEAR.
The adoption fee also includes, at a minimum, age appropriate vaccinations, de-worming, I.D. tag and microchip insertion. We gratefully accept any amount above the adoption fee as a donation used to support our mission to save as many dogs as possible.
