Meet Bluey
A gentle, growing boy learning how to be a dog
Bluey is an 8-month-old chocolate Lab who came to us from a Lancaster puppy mill. Because of his start, the world is still a brand new place to him-and he's taking it all in one careful step at a time.
He's the shy side of sweet, often hanging back at first, but there's a soft, loving pup underneath who just needs patience and reassurance to come out of his shell.
A few things about him:
Shy and sensitive-he takes time to warm up, but builds strong bonds once he feels safe
Learning everything from the ground up, including leash walking and everyday life skills
Still figuring out how to "be a dog"-he'll need guidance, structure, and lots of positive experiences
Gentle and kind-natured with a quiet, observant personality
Would thrive with a patient home committed to helping him gain confidence and explore the world at his own pace
Has the potential to become a wonderful adventure buddy as he grows more comfortable
Bluey is at the very beginning of his journey, and he's looking for someone willing to show him that the world can be a safe, happy place. With time, love, and consistency, he's going to blossom into a loyal and loving companion.
