If youre looking for a little dog with a BIG personality, an even bigger heart, and enough charm to steal the whole couch, meet Louie B!
Louie is an approximately 10-month-old Chihuahua mix, although were not completely sure what his adorable little mix is. Our best guess? Chiweenie! Whatever he is, hes one seriously cute, funky little guy. Around the rescue, we joke that Louie reminds us of Scrappy-Doo from Scooby-Doo — small, spunky, fearless, and always ready to be right in the middle of the action!
Louies story started out on the streets. He and his sister, Peachy, were found as tiny puppies with no home and no one looking for them. We sadly believe they may have been the result of an unwanted litter and were dumped because their owners didnt take advantage of the free and very low-cost spay and neuter programs available in many communities. Whatever happened before they were rescued, Louies past hasnt taken away an ounce of his sweetness.
Today, Louie is exactly where he belongs — surrounded by love, foster siblings, and a whole lot of playtime!
Louie is incredibly affectionate, friendly, and sweet. He absolutely loves his people and will happily follow you from room to room just to make sure he doesnt miss a thing. If you sit down, chances are Louie will be right there ready to curl up in your lap. He is the kind of little companion who wants to be your shadow, your snuggle buddy, and your best friend all in one.
And dont let his tiny size fool you — this boy can PLAY!
Louie spends his days alongside foster siblings ranging from 4 pounds to well over 70 pounds, and he is fantastic with dogs of all sizes. He plays like a pro, knows how to have fun, and fits right in with the pack. Whether hes playing with a dog his own size or hanging out with a much bigger canine friend, Louie is happy as can be!
Hes also wonderful with cats. He may be curious when he first meets them, but he doesnt chase, harass, or overwhelm them. He simply takes a look, realizes they have important cat business to attend to, and goes about his day. We absolutely love that about him!
Louie is the whole package: sweet, playful, affectionate, social, and wonderfully easygoing. He has the cutest little personality and a way of making everyone around him smile.
And best of all, Louie is fully vetted and ready to start his next chapter. He is fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and healthy.
After everything Louie has been through, this little guy deserves a family who will love him for all the days of his life. Hes done with the streets. Hes done waiting. Now hes ready for the part of his story weve all been hoping for — his happily ever after.
