Jimmy John (JJ) - Chihuahua Dog for Adoption in Windsor, Ontario

Requirements:
-If there are other animals in the home, they must be compatible with J.J.'s energy
-If there are children in the home, they must be respectful of a dog's boundaries
-JJ's home must have a 6′ tall fully secured fenced yard (no apartments) and fence material cannot be chain-link or slated

Pup-sonality:
Jimmy John here, or J.J. for short! I am young and full of energy, ready to play hard with my humans or my fellow four-legged friends. However, once I've used up all of my energy points for the day, I'm happy to snuggle and nap with you just as hard.

I am a good boy and not destructive or any of those naughty things (just keep me stocked with great chew toys!). I do sometimes use a pee pad when I'm alone for longer than my bladder can hold, but if given the option, I love to go outside. I might also try to sneak out the door sometimes, so keep your eye on me! I can chill in my crate or hang out on the couch if you're away, but I really want to be around you as much as possible.

I am still learning how to dog and I'm making great progress learning different commands. One thing you definitely need to see is how high I can jump. I think I could go far in a competition if I tried hard enough. But, if you don't want me to jump up on certain things, you just have to let me know and I'll figure it out eventually. I love to play with other dogs and cats, but you may have to help me to determine when playtime is over. Sometimes, that kitty is done before I am, so I just need a reminder that not everyone has the same energy as me.

I love walks and car rides, but I can get distracted by the opportunity to play with the other dogs that I see outside, so some gentle correction to keep me on track is helpful. I must say, I am the perfect mix of curious and playful, but that isn't always everyone's jam. I can handle that, especially if my humans play with me a lot and take me for lots of exercise.

He will only require Nexguard each month for flea/tick prevention until July 2027.
