Dog's Name: Scooter (SCO0526SOPMD)
Estimated Breed: Chihuahua mix
Approximate Age: 2 years
Approximate Weight: 10 lbs
Currently Living at: Coming Soon
Adoption Fee: $400
DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Scooter is proof that the best things in life really do come in small packages! This adorable 10-pound Chihuahua mix is searching for the forever home of his dreams — and whoever welcomes this little guy into their life is going to hit the jackpot.
Found stray in rural Georgia, Scooter waited patiently for someone to come looking for him, but sadly, no owner ever came forward. It's clear this sweet boy once belonged to someone, because he is wonderfully well behaved and knows how to be a perfect little companion. Scooter is friendly, easy going, and has a lovely medium energy that makes him an ideal fit for most any household. He gets along great with other dogs and would be happy to have a canine buddy — though he'd also do just fine soaking up all the attention himself!
Scooter is the perfect portable size for snuggles, cozy evenings, and tagging along on life's adventures. He has already experienced being left behind once in his life. Now he's hoping to find a family that will promise him a lifetime of love, safety, and belonging. Could you be the one to give this precious little guy the happy ending he deserves? Apply today and don't let this one get away!
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
