Meet Megan!

Megan is a gentle soul who loves to be in contact with you at all times. Whether that's a paw on your knee asking to be picked up or fully in your lap, she’s a little shadow who would rather be laying at your feet while her siblings are off galivanting around. She may have a hint of shyness at first, but warms up quickly. She is more reserved than her siblings and doesn’t need to be in the middle of the action. She’s perfectly content simply being close to the people she trusts! She will make a great, loyal companion!

Megan sleeps through the night with no accidents in her crate, does great for baths and being handled, and hasn’t had an accident in her foster home. She is respectful of other dogs and does not care about cats! She has not been around kids, but prefers to lick rather than nip, so we would not anticipate any issues there.

She is being fostered in Richmond, VA and is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, has been dewormed, and is on monthly preventatives. Her adoption fee is $375 and covers the cost of age-appropriate core vaccinations, microchip, and required spay when age-appropriate. We require that all adopters, regardless of the dog’s age, are committed to ongoing training and socialization as part of responsible ownership. Spay/Neuter Disclosure:
Spay/Neuter will be scheduled when age-appropriate and is covered in the adoption fee. We require adopters to be within a reasonable distance of Richmond or Virginia Beach in order to complete spay/neuter with our approved clinics.

Beagles and Bentleys has an across-the-board evaluative process that we apply to every application we review that prioritizes our animals in need. We conduct a vet reference check (all resident dogs must be altered/up to date on dhpp/rabies and monthly preventatives, and cats must be altered and up to date on rabies) and a virtual home visit call where we discuss the adoption process and see your home.

The Chihuahua is a small breed famous for its confidence, loyalty, and big personality, despite its tiny size. Originating from Mexico, these dogs are known for their large, expressive eyes and alert, curious nature. Chihuahuas make excellent companions, forming strong bonds with their owners and displaying a protective nature. They come in a variety of coat colors and patterns, with both long and short coats, making them a diverse and adorable addition to any family.

The Jack Russell Terrier is a lively and intelligent small breed known for its boundless energy and strong hunting instincts. With a distinctive white coat and often sporting tan or black markings, these dogs are full of personality and require regular exercise and mental stimulation to thrive. Jack Russell Terriers are fiercely loyal and make excellent companions for active owners willing to provide the mental and physical challenges this energetic breed needs to stay happy and healthy.
