MEET MAID!
Maid is an adorable 2-year-old, 7 lb. female Deer Head Chihuahua with the sweetest little face and a gentle soul to match.
Maid came to FLOP after her elderly breeder was no longer able to properly care for the dogs. Until coming into rescue, Maid had never really known what it meant to be someone’s pet—so understandably, this sweet girl can be timid and unsure around new people.
But give her a little patience and time, and there’s a whole different girl waiting underneath. She has really warmed up to her foster family, giving us a glimpse of just how much potential she has once she feels safe and learns that people can be pretty wonderful.
Maid is great with other small dogs, and having a confident little canine friend will be important in helping her continue to blossom. Because of her background and timid nature, another small, friendly dog and a fully fenced yard will be REQUIRED for her forever home.
She isn’t the girl who will necessarily run into your arms the first time you meet her. She’s the girl who will make you earn her trust—and then make every little milestone feel incredibly special.
Maid is truly a little treasure just waiting for the right person to give her the patience, security and love she’s always deserved.
